About
Meet Chris Johnson
A campaign grounded in practical leadership, community trust, and a long-term commitment to Collingwood’s future.

Biography
Rooted in Collingwood
I’m Chris Johnson, a Collingwood resident, father, partner, and working member of our community. I’m running for Collingwood Council because I believe the people who live and work here every day deserve a stronger voice in the decisions that shape our town.
My family and I have built our life here. I understand what it means to raise children in Collingwood, manage a household, work hard, and try to build a future in a community where the cost of living continues to rise. I also understand the challenges faced by local businesses and the people who keep them running.
My background is varied. I’ve worked in restaurants and construction jobs, built experience in business and digital marketing, and developed a career helping local businesses reach their customers. Those experiences have given me an appreciation for both sides of the equation: the people trying to make a living here and the businesses trying to survive here.
I’m not a career politician, and I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I believe Council works best when it listens to the people it represents.
During this campaign, I want to spend less time telling residents what they should want and more time asking what they actually need. I want to hear from young families, seniors, workers, business owners, renters, homeowners, and everyone in between.
My priorities are practical: responsible growth, attainable housing, better infrastructure, transportation that works for residents, opportunities for children and youth, and a Collingwood where families can afford not only to visit, but to build a life.
My goal is simple: to give a voice to the people who feel they aren’t being heard.
